Met Police Cop Axed for Sexist TikTok Posts
A Metropolitan Police officer has been sacked after a misconduct hearing found him guilty of posting sexist content on TikTok.
PC Daniel Naggea’s Offensive Social Media Blunder
PC Daniel Naggea, attached to the team covering Enfield and Haringey, created several offensive and disrespectful posts on the popular video app. The hearing ruled his actions fell far below the standards expected of a serving police officer.
Gross Misconduct Costs Officer His Job
As a result, Naggea was dismissed without notice for gross misconduct. Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines slammed his behaviour as “unacceptable,” saying:
“PC Naggea’s posts on social media were both offensive and disrespectful. This behaviour is unacceptable. PC Naggea has fallen well below the standards we expect from our officers and it is only right that he has been dismissed from the Met.”
Barred for Life – No Return to Policing
PC Naggea will be added to the College of Policing’s ‘barred list’, banning him from working for any police force or related body across the UK.
The Metropolitan Police Service stressed the dismissal highlights its zero-tolerance approach to conduct that damages public trust and confidence.
