A vicious abuser has been sentenced to 30 years behind bars after a terrifying campaign of torture ended in a brutal stabbing and rape.
Years of Abuse Escalate Into Grisly Attack
Gurwinder Singh, 36, from Walsall, put a woman through relentless verbal abuse, physical assaults, and stalking. His sick control spiralled into savage violence, leaving the victim fighting for her life.
Knife Attack and Rape Shock Stafford Crown Court
On May 6 last year, Singh broke into the woman’s home carrying a knife. He stabbed her multiple times in the arm, chest, and stomach. The court heard the victim’s survival was down to “a matter of millimetres.”
He then stripped and raped her while threatening to kill her repeatedly.
Swift Justice Delivers 30-Year Sentence
Police arrested Singh shortly after the horrific attack on suspicion of attempted murder and rape. Found guilty earlier this year, he appeared at Stafford Crown Court this week for sentencing.
Judges handed him a 30-year jail term, making sure he pays the price for his violent and relentless abuse.
