Ex-Prisoner Who Complained About Prison WiFi Caught in Robbery Drama
Adam Ghali, 32, from Upper Green Road, St Helens, is back in the headlines — this time, for robbery. The crook was charged after a hold-up at The Co-Operative store on West Street, Ryde, on Saturday night.
From Prison WiFi Whinger to Armed Robber
Back in 2011, Ghali made waves for mocking the WiFi at HM Prison Camp Hill while behind bars. Now the same troublemaker’s in hot water for threatening local staff and demanding cash from tills in a late-night raid at 9pm.
Local Hero Tackles Knife-Wielding Thief
Heroic resident Neville Browne didn’t hesitate. He tackled Ghali to the ground as the thief tried to escape. The scumbag bit Neville during the scuffle but still managed to flee — until police caught him minutes later across town.
Behind Bars Again, Court Dates Set
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed Ghali was remanded in custody over the weekend. He faced Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Monday and is set to appear at the Crown Court on 15th May.
We’re watching his social media for updates — if he dares to post from behind bars.
