Nightclub Rapist Jailed for Eight Years After Brutal Hereford Attack

A vile rapist who preyed on a woman he met in a nightclub has been locked up for eight years. Twana Azize, 29, from College Road, Hereford, was sentenced today (Friday 17 October) for a terrifying assault in Hereford city centre in the early hours of a Sunday morning this May.

Chilling Attack in Hereford City Centre

Azize targeted his victim after meeting her in a nightclub. He isolated her from her friends and stopped her from getting a taxi home. Then, dragging her away from the taxi rank, he raped her in a quiet street with no one around.

The brave woman broke free, escaped, and got home safely. She quickly reported the nightmare to police.

Justice Delivered at Worcester Crown Court

Azize was found guilty of rape at Worcester Crown Court on 22 August. Today, he was sentenced to eight years in prison and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.

He denied the crime, but forensic evidence on his clothing and CCTV footage sealed his fate. Police swooped after thorough searches and footage reviews.

This hard-hitting sentence sends a clear warning: predators who target vulnerable women will be caught and punished.
