Michael Gove Cracks Down on Laughing Gas to Tackle Anti-Social Behaviour
Michael Gove, the Education Secretary, has announced a bold new ban on laughing gas this morning. He’s targeting the tiny silver canisters that litter city parks and fuel a surge in anti-social behaviour.
‘Laughing Gas Destroys Lives,’ Warns Gove
“Antisocial behaviour can destroy lives,” Mr Gove declared.
He added, “Anyone who’s strolled through our major cities’ parks will have spotted these silver canisters. They’re not just spoiling public spaces – they contain a drug that affects the brain and drives anti-social actions.”
Tougher Penalties to Follow
The ban is part of a wider crackdown aimed at curbing anti-social behaviour, a hot-button issue ahead of the next general election.
Under new plans, those convicted of anti-social acts will have to fix the damage they cause — within just two days of their sentencing. A zero-tolerance approach designed to clean up communities fast!
