Man Charged After Double Stabbing in Maidstone

A 22-year-old man has been charged following a stabbing attack that left two men injured in Maidstone.

Stabbing on Tonbridge Road

Kent Police rushed to Tonbridge Road at 8.40pm on Thursday, 30 July 2020, after reports of a violent incident. Two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were found with stab wounds. Both were treated in hospital and later released.

Jerome Yearwood Arrested and Charged

Jerome Yearwood, from Westree Court, Maidstone, was arrested the next day. He now faces two counts of grievous bodily harm. Yearwood is also charged with possession of a Class A and a Class B drug.

Legal Proceedings Underway

Yearwood appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 1 August and was granted bail. He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 1 September 2020.
