Woman’s Shouts for Help Sparks Police Probe in N15
Police rushed to Plevna Crescent, N15, at 6.40pm on Saturday, 18 September after a passerby spotted a young girl in a car shouting for help.
It turned out the woman was 25 years old. She is now safe and receiving support from officers following the disturbing incident.
Police Confirm Safety, Treat Case as Domestic Incident
Detective Inspector Kelly Hodgson reassured worried locals: “Our main priority was to make sure the woman involved was safe. We now know she is an adult.”
“I want to thank the concerned member of the public for calling us, and everyone who has come forward with information since.”
The investigation remains open but police are currently treating it as a domestic matter.
Man Arrested and Released on Bail
Following exhaustive enquiries, officers arrested a 26-year-old man at a Haringey address on Monday, 20 September, on suspicion of abduction. He has since been released on bail as inquiries continue.
