Masked Burglar Tears Through Mansfield Home
Police raced to a Mansfield house on Ladybrook Lane after it was broken into with brutal force. The front door was kicked in and the door chain was snapped. The homeowner was out but hurried back when alerted.
Upon returning, she was allegedly threatened by a man demanding money and valuables. The intruder ransacked the entire house and even tried to steal two dogs.
Two Arrests Made in Shocking Aggravated Burglary
- The terrifying break-in happened around 7.50pm on 14 February 2022.
- A 54-year-old man was arrested two days later on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
- Police have since arrested a 25-year-old man in the early hours of 6 May 2022.
Detective Demands More Info From Public
“I am pleased we’ve now been able to make a second arrest as we progress with our enquiries into this incident,” said Detective Inspector Luke Todd of Nottinghamshire Police.
“While we have arrested two suspects in connection with this robbery, our investigation is very much continuing and I would ask anyone with information who has not yet come forward to please do so. Nottinghamshire Police takes these types of offences very seriously and will always strive to bring offenders to justice.”
