Road Rage Sparks Police Hunt
Kent Police were called after a collision between a tipper van and a car on Chatham Hill, Chatham at 5.25pm on Thursday 13 January 2022. But things quickly turned nasty.
The two men in the tipper van, aged 28 and 37 from Whitstable and Rochester, reportedly got aggressive with the car driver, demanding £1,000 be transferred via a banking app.
Arrests and Prison Recall
Both men were busted by Medway Local Policing Team on suspicion of attempted robbery and cannabis possession. Though released pending investigation, the 28-year-old was immediately recalled to prison for breaching his licence conditions.
He was also hit with an outstanding confiscation order for £76,481 from a previous case.
High-Value Police Haul
A police raid on the 28-year-old’s home uncovered luxury items believed to be bought with crime cash. The haul includes a Rolex Yacht Master watch alongside a huge collection of designer clothes, shoes, and handbags.
Financial detectives from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate secured a warrant at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 17 January, allowing police to hold the seized goods for a year while they dig deeper into the suspect’s finances.
