Teen Banned from Petersfield and Liss After Assaults and Drug Busts

A 16-year-old boy from Bosham has been hit with a tough ASBO-style ban, stopping him from entering Petersfield or Liss town centres for three months. The youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted multiple charges including assaults, drug possession, and criminal damage.

Serious Charges Lead to Strict Ban

The teen pled guilty at Basingstoke Youth Court to assaults in both Petersfield and Liss. He was caught with a cocktail of illegal substances including cocaine, cannabis, and MDMA. In addition, he admitted to affray, using threatening behaviour, and causing criminal damage.

Tough Sentencing: Rehab Order and Curfew

  • 24-month Youth Rehabilitation Order with Intensive Supervision
  • Curfew from 8pm to 6am for four months
  • Exclusion order: banned from coming within two miles of Petersfield and Liss town centres for three months

The sentence was handed down last Friday at Basingstoke Youth Court, aiming to keep the community safe and steer the boy away from crime.
