Teen Stabbed in Croydon Night Attack
Detectives are hunting for suspects after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Croydon late Thursday night.
Victim Attacked While Cycling Home
Police rushed to Woodside Road, SE25, at 11.56pm on 18 April following reports of a stabbing. The teenager was found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
Detectives say the victim was assaulted on nearby Spring Lane while cycling home from a friend’s place. Four suspects on two mopeds reportedly followed him before two got off and launched the brutal attack.
No Arrests – Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
The Met’s South Area CID are leading the investigation but no arrests have been made yet. Detective Sergeant Danielle Power said:
“This was a brutal attack and one which could have had far more serious consequences. While we have spoken to a number of witnesses, we believe more people may have seen the mopeds in the Woodside Road area at the time and we urge them to come forward.”
