Eastbourne Assault: Police Hunt Witnesses After Woman Attacked
Police in Eastbourne are on the lookout for witnesses after an 18-year-old woman was assaulted in an alley off Lushington Lane.
Injuries and Arrest Made
The attack happened late Sunday, January 15, leaving the victim with head and nose injuries. The following day, a 19-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH), intentional strangulation, and possession of cannabis.
He’s now out on bail with strict conditions until April 16.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
“We understand a woman nearby came to the victim’s aid and helped her catch a bus home,” said Crime Investigator Wendy Murray. “Two men also stepped in after hearing the commotion. We urge all three to come forward and assist our investigation.”
