Man Fighting for Life After Brutal Thames-Side Attack at Vauxhall

Detectives are hunting witnesses following a savage assault near the River Thames at Vauxhall. The shocking attack unfolded on Albert Embankment, just south of Vauxhall Bridge, sparking a rapid response from police and ambulance crews.

Early Morning Violence on the Albert Embankment

Police were called just before 4:15am on Sunday, 1 October, after reports of an assault involving a metal pole. Officers found a 24-year-old man with a serious head wound. He was rushed to hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.

Two Men Arrested Over Brutal Attack

A 23-year-old and a 22-year-old were swiftly arrested nearby, both suspected of grievous bodily harm. They remain in police custody as detectives piece together events.

Witnesses Urged to Come Forward

Met Police’s South Central BCU are leading the investigation. CCTV shows several people in the area at the time. Authorities are desperate to hear from anyone who saw what happened but hasn’t yet spoken to police.
