Violence erupted on Gordon Street late on Saturday, 26 March 2022. A 20-year-old man was walking close to Glasgow Central Station around 9.45pm when he was struck hard on the head by another man.

The victim was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious head injuries.

Police Hunt Suspect Spotted in White T-Shirt

The attacker is described as a white male in his twenties, with a medium build and short black hair shaved at the sides. He was wearing a white t-shirt featuring a black motif on the chest, black tapered tracksuit trousers, and black trainers with white soles.

Officers are scouring CCTV footage from the area to catch any clues which could crack the case.

Call for Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Constable Matthew McCann urged the public: “We believe the victim and suspect had an altercation about five minutes before the assault. This is a busy spot, especially at night, with many people out socialising. If you were in the area, please get in touch—even if you think your information is minor. A young man has suffered a serious head injury and it’s crucial we find who did this.”
