Man Seriously Assaulted in Doncaster Street – Three Arrested

Emergency services rushed to Grange Road, New Rossington, at 8.50am on 24th February 2022 after reports of a brutal assault on a 40-year-old man. Officers found the victim with serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition.

Three Arrests Made in Connection

  • A 44-year-old Doncaster man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
  • A 49-year-old Doncaster man also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on police bail.
  • A 41-year-old Doncaster woman, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on police bail.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Inspector Thomas Bright, leading the investigation, said:

“Enquiries are ongoing to get a full picture of what happened. There will be an increased police presence in the area. I urge anyone with concerns or information to speak to officers.”

“If you were on Grange Road from 8.30am on Thursday, please come forward. Even the smallest detail could be vital. We are especially keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage.”
