Man Critically Assaulted in New Rossington: Three Arrested
Emergency services rushed to Grange Road, New Rossington at 8.50am on 24 February 2022 after reports that a 40-year-old man was seriously assaulted. Police found the victim with grave injuries and he was swiftly taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Three Held in Connection
- A 44-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Thursday, is still in police custody.
- A 49-year-old man from Doncaster, also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has been released on police bail.
- A 41-year-old Doncaster woman, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, was released on police bail.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“Enquiries are ongoing to build up a full picture of the circumstances surrounding this incident. There will continue to be an increased presence in the area,” said Detective Inspector Thomas Bright. “I urge anyone with concerns or information – no matter how small – to speak to our officers. In particular, if you were on Grange Road from 8.30am onwards on Thursday morning or have dashcam footage, please get in touch. Your information could prove vital.”
