Knife, Bat and Machete Brawl Shakes Southampton Streets
Police rushed to the scene just after 2pm following reports of a vicious fight involving knives, bats, and machetes. Witnesses also spotted a dog amidst the chaos.
One Man Hospitalised, Six Arrested
One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, officers remain on the scene investigating. Six men have been arrested and are in police custody:
- A 20-year-old Southampton man faces charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, violent disorder, and grievous bodily harm with intent to resist arrest.
- Three men aged 21, 24, and 26, all from Southampton, are held on suspicion of violent disorder.
- A 27-year-old Southampton man is charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and resisting arrest.
- A 28-year-old Southampton man is arrested for violent disorder and using threatening or abusive behaviour to provoke fear or unlawful violence.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers want to hear from anyone in the area who saw or heard anything that could help their investigation. They’re especially keen to view any CCTV, dashcam, or Ring Doorbell footage from around the time of the incident.
