Five men were arrested after a violent Christmas Day brawl in Hucknall left one man with a broken leg.

Early Morning Fight Shakes Hucknall

Police were called to a disturbance on South Street, Hucknall, at 1.17am on Christmas Day. Following investigations, a car linked to the incident was spotted and stopped in Bulwell, leading to the arrest of five suspects.

Injuries and Arrests

  • A 25-year-old victim suffered a broken leg and was rushed to hospital.
  • Another 25-year-old man had facial and hand injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
  • An 18-year-old and a 21-year-old were arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of cannabis.
  • A 20-year-old was questioned over wounding with intent and cannabis possession.
  • A 28-year-old faces suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
  • Another 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm and cannabis possession.

Suspects Banned from Hucknall

All five were released on conditional bail, including a strict ban on entering Hucknall. Police continue their investigations into the Christmas clash.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Nick Hall said: “Five suspects were swiftly arrested in connection with this incident and our inquiries to establish the full circumstances remain ongoing. We would urge anyone who saw what happened to please get in touch with us, if they haven’t already come forward, as they may have vital information which could assist us with our investigation.”
