Loaded Gun Seized in Northolt Sting
Police officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime unit have intercepted a loaded firearm in Northolt during a proactive operation on Tuesday, 27 October.
The armed weapon, complete with a full magazine of ammunition, was discovered near Makepeace Road just before midday. The firearm was swiftly seized and sent to a forensic lab for detailed analysis.
No Arrests Yet But Hunt Continues
So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the discovery. Police have vowed to keep up their intensive enquiries as they hunt down those responsible.
Detective Chief Inspector Praises Team’s Efforts
“This seizure of a firearm and ammunition demonstrates the good work that the Met’s proactive units are doing to keep our communities safe,” said Detective Chief Inspector Danny Gosling of the Specialist Crime South team.
“I have no doubt that this seizure has prevented a serious, or even deadly, incident from taking place in the surrounding area.
“We are committed to tackling violent crime and will bring anyone who carries or holds firearms and other lethal weapons to justice.”
