Christmas Day Brawl in Hucknall: Five Arrested
Chaos erupted just after 1am on Christmas Day in South Street, Hucknall, when police were called to a disturbance. Officers quickly traced a car linked to the incident in nearby Bulwell. Five men inside were arrested on suspicion of serious violence and drug offences.
Victims Suffer Serious Injuries
- A 25-year-old man was left with a broken leg and rushed to hospital for treatment.
- Another 25-year-old sustained facial and hand injuries but did not require medical care.
Suspects Face Multiple Charges
- Two men, aged 18 and 21, are accused of grievous bodily harm with intent and cannabis possession.
- A 20-year-old faces questioning over wounding with intent and cannabis possession.
- A 28-year-old was arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent.
- Another 21-year-old man is suspected of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm and cannabis possession.
All five remain on conditional bail with strict orders, including a ban on entering Hucknall, while investigations continue.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Nick Hall said: “Five suspects were swiftly arrested and our inquiries to establish the full circumstances remain ongoing. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward – your information could be crucial.”
