Doncaster Cops Nab Cannabis-Filled Cadbury Bars in Shocking Drug Haul
Chocolate Bars Used to Smuggle Cannabis
Police in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, stumbled upon a bizarre stash during a recent drug raid — Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate bars packed with cannabis. Acting on a tip-off, officers executed a warrant in Rossington and found 50 cannabis-infused chocolate bars hidden among large quantities of the drug and over £5,000 in cash.
Dangerous Treats Could Endanger Children
The edible cannabis bars, disguised as regular chocolates, have sparked alarm about the risks they pose if they land in the wrong hands, especially children. Sergeant Chris Rogers from Doncaster South NPT warned, “If these were to end up in the hands of a child, the consequences could have been disastrous. We are pleased we’ve taken these out of circulation.”
More Weapons and Drug Gear Found
The raid uncovered more than just sweets. Officers also seized a knuckle duster, burner phones suspected to be used for drug dealing, and cannabis hidden inside an empty tin of Roses chocolates.
Three Arrested, Police on Alert
Two men, aged 28 and 18, and a 59-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. They have been released on police bail while investigations continue.
Sergeant Rogers delivered a stark warning: law enforcement will not tolerate drug dealing in local communities and urged anyone with information to come forward.
This extraordinary find highlights the ongoing fight against drug crime and the need for vigilance. Concerned residents can contact police on the non-emergency 101 number or dial 999 in emergencies related to drugs.
