Probe Continues into Murder of Journalist Lyra McKee

Police Make Thirty Arrests, Nine Charged
The PSNI have arrested 30 suspects linked to the case. Nine individuals now face charges: three for murder and six for public order offences. The hunt for justice is hot on their heels.
Police Appeal for Public Help
Detective Superintendent Eamonn Corrigan said the investigation remains “very active.” He urged anyone with information about the events leading to Lyra’s death to come forward. “If anyone has any information about the events which led up to Lyra’s murder, and they have yet to come forward, please contact detectives in absolute confidence by calling 101,” Corrigan said.
Family and Friends Mourn Lyra and Her Mother
DS Corrigan acknowledged the continuing pain for Lyra’s loved ones. “Thoughts very much remain with Ms McKee’s partner, friends and colleagues,” he said. He also revealed the family’s ongoing grief, not only for Lyra but for her mother, who sadly passed away after Lyra’s murder.
