Norfolk Man Jailed for Storing Terrorist and Child Abuse Materials
A major win for the Met Counter Terrorism Police as 26-year-old Sejr Forster from Norfolk is locked up for a vile mix of terrorism and child abuse crimes.
Foiled Terror Plot and Sickening Cache Found
Forster was arrested in May 2022 after officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, with help from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit, uncovered his stockpile of terror documents. When cops asked about his phone, Forster lied it was left at a pub. But detectives found the device hidden under his mattress.
Forensic experts then uncovered over 750 indecent images and videos of children as young as three on his phone. Alongside this horrific material, they seized bomb-making manuals in digital and printed form.
Met Commander Condemns Forster’s Extremism
“Forster built an appalling library of terrorist and child abuse material. His stockpile included the most serious types of child abuse images and bomb-making instructions. We also found texts and paraphernalia showing his extreme right-wing mindset,” said Commander Dominic Murphy of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
Sentenced at Old Bailey: Four Years Inside
On September 26, 2023, Forster was sentenced at the Old Bailey to four years in prison, plus one year on licence after release. He will also face a 10-year terrorism notification order and a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, keeping him under tight control and off the streets.
This tough sentence sends a clear message: those harbouring terrorism and child abuse material will face swift justice.
