Man Dies in Shocking Early Morning Assault in Lesney Gardens
Police rushed to Lesney Gardens just after 8.30am on 25 November following reports of a serious assault. On arrival, officers found a man seriously injured. Despite frantic efforts by emergency services, the victim tragically died at the scene.
Murder Probe Launched by Essex and Kent Police
A full investigation is now underway, led by the Essex and Kent Serious Crime Directorate. Authorities have charged a 38-year-old man from Rochford with murder. He is currently in custody, awaiting further questioning.
Police Appeal to Locals for Information
Detective Chief Inspector Louise Metcalfe urged the community to stay calm. She said:
“We understand that this is a concerning incident for residents but please be assured that we are working quickly to determine what has happened.
We have arrested a man who we believe was known to the victim and he remains in custody.
Those who live in the area may notice an increased police presence over a couple of days whilst we carry out our enquiries.”
