Pudsey Pier-to-Pier Challenge Kicks Off

The challenge began on Monday at Gravesend’s Town Pier. Over five punishing days, the walkers crossed Kent’s countryside, hitting Tunbridge Wells before trekking into East Sussex.

They passed through Mayfield and Heathfield, following the famous Cuckoo Trail—finally finishing at Eastbourne Pier.

Raising Millions for Charity

This epic journey was part of a nation-wide push encouraging people to get walking and support the charity. The BBC One Children in Need appeal smashed expectations, raising a colossal £35.27 million during its three-hour live show.

“The annual appeal raised more than £35m,” BBC reported after the live announcement.
