Aaron Cook in Custody After Shocking Stabbing
Aaron Cook, from St Luke’s Road, W11, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 16 August. He was remanded in custody and is set to face trial at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 18 August.
The tragedy unfolded on Saturday, 14 August, when police were called to reports of a disturbance on St Luke’s Road at around 2:10pm. Officers found Bella inside the address with fatal stab wounds. Despite emergency services’ efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Community in Shock as Police Boost Patrols
Bella’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers. Detective Chief Superintendent Owain Richards, responsible for policing Kensington and Chelsea, addressed the community’s concerns:
“I know the death of Bella Nicandro will have caused a great deal of shock and distress for the local community in Notting Hill. Officers will be carrying out increased patrols during the next few days to provide a reassuring presence. Anyone who has concerns or wants to talk to the police should approach one of the officers or ring 101, or 999 in an emergency. My thoughts are with Bella’s family at this difficult time.”
