Manhunt on for Suspect in Thornhill Stabbing Murder
Wanted for Murder and Prison Recall
Police are hunting a man wanted over the stabbing death of 64-year-old Mark Noke. The tragic killing happened in the early hours of Saturday, 25 February, at his home on Warburton Road, Thornhill.
The suspect, Leighton, is also wanted for breaching his prison licence after a knife possession conviction last year.
Description and Whereabouts
- Height: 5ft 11ins
- Build: Slim
- Hair: Blond, short
- Facial hair: Moustache and goatee (may be clean shaven)
- Eyes: Brown

Police Plea: Don’t Approach, Report Immediately
Acting DCI Howard Broadribb, leading the murder investigation, urged the public:
“We want to speak to Leighton in connection with Mark’s murder and urge him to come forward. If you see him, do not approach him – call 999 immediately.”
He added: “Anyone harbouring Leighton could be committing an offence and may face arrest.”
Extra officers remain on patrol in the area following Mark’s death.
