Woman in Her 50s Killed in Hit-and-Run on Newark Road, Ollerton
A woman in her 50s tragically died after being knocked down on Newark Road, Ollerton, at around 10.25pm on December 8.
The driver allegedly hit the pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping. Paramedics arrived shortly after but declared the woman dead at the scene.
Man Arrested Over Deadly Hit-and-Run
Police have arrested a 33-year-old man from Worksop on charges of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and failing to report the incident.
The suspect has been released on bail as inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Information
Sergeant Steve Waft of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “The investigation is moving at pace, and we have now arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident.
“This has been incredibly distressing for the victim’s family and our thoughts continue to be with them at this difficult time.”
