Knife Threat Sparks Quick Police Arrest in Wollaton

Police rushed to Brendon Road, Wollaton, just minutes after a 7.20pm call on Monday, 3 May 2021. A man reported being threatened by a knife-wielding attacker.

Swift Action Sees 24-Year-Old Arrested

Officers secured the scene and arrested a 24-year-old at the property. A knife was found during a thorough search of the house.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Police Appeal for Information

Inspector Mark Stanley, Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers did an excellent job arriving quickly and making an arrest. While no one was hurt this time, knife incidents can quickly escalate to serious violence. Recovering the weapon stops it from being used again.”

“If anyone saw anything suspicious around Brendon Road at that time, please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 573 of 3 May 2021.”

The suspect has been released on bail as investigations continue.
