Jamie Lewis, 33, locked up for over four years after major drug bust in Pontypridd
Jamie Lewis, 33, from Pontypridd, was sentenced to four years and one month behind bars. He pleaded guilty to multiple serious drug offences at Cardiff Crown Court on February 25, 2026.
Police Crack Down on Pontypridd Drug Line
The crackdown began in December 2025, when South Wales Police tracked a phone number linked to a local drug ring. This led to the arrest of Lewis and 28-year-old Alanis Davies, also from Pontypridd, during a routine traffic stop.
Drugs, Scales and Luxury Watches Seized
Officers found Lewis’s phone tying him directly to a cocaine supply chain. A search of his home uncovered:
- A white rock-like substance, suspected to be cocaine
- Large quantities of grip seal bags and scales used for drug dealing
- Two high-end Rolex watches, hinting at profits from the trade
Davies, his accomplice, was handed a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years.
Police Hail Success of the Operation
PC Justyn Lewis said: “Our officers are always patrolling communities and hunting drug dealers. Jamie Lewis is now serving a long stretch where he belongs.”
This tough sentencing sends a strong message: South Wales Police won’t tolerate drug crime in Pontypridd or the surrounding areas.
