Portsmouth’s Notorious Bully Boy Gary Saunders Locked Up Again
Gary Saunders, Portsmouth’s infamous ASBO kingpin, is back behind bars. The 57-year-old thug from Portland Street, Portsea, was jailed for eight weeks after admitting to breaching his anti-social behaviour order once again.
Repeat Offender Finally Gets Jail Time
Despite breaking the same ASBO three times, Saunders dodged jail last May. But Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court threw the book at him on 25th July, sentencing him to eight weeks for causing harassment, alarm, and distress.
Theft and Court Fails Stack Up
- Saunders admitted stealing £11.48 worth of food from a Southsea Co-op on 27th June, earning four weeks concurrent.
- He failed to show up for custody on 15th August, landing him further trouble.
- Additional four-week terms added for stealing perfume from Boots on 27th April and a bike on 18th May.
- He also admitted driving without a licence or insurance on 8th August in Cottage View, Portsmouth.
History of Harassment and Crime
With nearly 300 offences recorded, Saunders has terrorised Portsmouth for years. The bully has bullied and threatened locals, forcing them to hand over money or goods.
Last October, Portsmouth Coroner’s Court linked Saunders to the suspicious death of Christina Jewell at Handsworth House in Somerstown, deepening his dark reputation.
Back On The Streets Soon
Saunders will be released mid-September after serving half his sentence — much to the dread of locals who’ve had enough of his reign of terror.
