Eastbourne’s serial shoplifter locked up for 32 weeks
Adam Summerford, 33, a notorious shoplifter with no fixed address, has been jailed for 32 weeks after a string of thefts in Eastbourne Old Town. From November 2022 to January 2023, he hit major local spots including the Co-op, Sainsbury’s, and The Post Office.
Caught in the act
Summerford was easily recognised by shop staff and caught on camera. He appeared at 123 Magistrates’ Court on March 20, where the evidence sealed his fate.
