Police Crack Down on Violence in Croydon
“This type of violent behaviour has no place on our streets,” said Detective Superintendent Lewis Collins of the South Area Basic Command Unit. “The swift action by Met officers shows our commitment to tackling violent crime.”
“The Violence Suppression Unit offers a visible presence in high-crime areas of Croydon, Sutton, and Bromley, focusing on catching those who bring violence to our communities.
“Our hard work is paying off with violent crimes falling across many categories. But we’re not resting until our streets are safer.”
“We also work closely with local authorities to protect Londoners — this arrest is a prime example of that partnership in action.”
