Woman Charged with Robbery and Attempted Theft at Penge Supermarket

In a series of cases heard on Monday, May 8, 2024, at the Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts, individuals faced varied charges and sentences, underscoring the range of legal consequences for different crimes.

Jayden Davies, a 29-year-old resident of Northover in Bromley, admitted to drink driving on Rectory Road, Bromley, on December 19. Davies, who recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 130mg per 100ml of breath—nearly four times the legal limit of 35mg—received a 16-week suspended sentence, valid for 18 months. Additionally, he was mandated to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and received a four-year driving ban.

In another case, Michael Buckley, 38, of Wodehouse Road in Dartford, faced the consequences of driving while disqualified and uninsured on Molesworth Street, Lewisham, on May 4. Buckley, who was also found in possession of cocaine, was further disqualified from driving for one year and sentenced to eight weeks in jail.

Callum Packman, 22, currently an inmate at HMP Belmarsh, admitted to assaulting another man by biting him at HMP ISIS on March 16, 2021. Packman’s actions led to a six-month imprisonment and an order to pay £150 in compensation.

Lastly, Dariusz Bratumil, 42, from Whinchat Road in Thamesmead, pleaded guilty to multiple instances of theft at The Co-op on Pickford Lane, Bexleyheath. Bratumil stole various items including meat, flowers, and baby milk over six occasions between September and November of the previous year. After failing to respond to bail, a warrant for his arrest was issued on Tuesday.
