Man in His 40s Found Unconscious in Canterbury Dies
Detectives from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have launched a fresh appeal after a man was found in a critical state near Canterbury Academy.
Found Near Running Track in Early Hours
The victim, aged in his 40s, was discovered unconscious by the running track off Knight Avenue around 4.15am on Tuesday 26 May 2020. Sadly, he passed away in hospital on Friday 29 May.
Investigation Ongoing, Three Men on Bail
A post-mortem is scheduled to determine the cause of death. Meanwhile, three men known to the victim remain on bail as inquiries continue. Detectives want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area between 8pm Monday 25 May and 4.15am Tuesday morning.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Police also seek witnesses to a disturbance on Union Street, Canterbury, in the late afternoon of Monday 25 May.
