Masked bandits flee empty-handed from Vodafone heist

Three balaclava-clad suspects tried to smash their way into the Vodafone store stockroom on Sevenoaks High Street at 4:30pm on Friday, March 7. The would-be robbers couldn’t break in and made a swift getaway in a blue Ford Focus.

Quick-thinking cops nab four suspects near London

Local officers sprang into action, broadcasting the getaway car’s details. Just 40 minutes later, the vehicle was stopped near Welling, south London, with all four suspects inside.

Among those arrested was a 29-year-old man from Rickmansworth and three teenage boys from south east London. They are now on bail as detectives dig deeper.

Police hunt witnesses and dashcam footage

Kent Police are appealing to anyone who saw suspicious activity between 4:20pm and 4:40pm on the day of the crime. They want to hear from:

  • Local businesses or residents with CCTV or doorbell cams
  • Motorists with dashcam footage near Beech Road, London Road, and the High Street

“This was a brazen attempted robbery in broad daylight on a busy High Street. We are urging anyone with relevant footage or information — no matter how small — to get in touch to help us identify further movements and actions of those involved.”
