Four Men Busted in Romney Marsh County Lines Drug Crackdown
Four suspects have been charged after a major county lines drug operation was uncovered at a caravan site in Romney Marsh.
County Lines Gang Targeted in East Kent
Police from the County Line and Gang Team swooped on Thursday, 8 October 2020, executing warrants simultaneously at a caravan site off Hythe Road, Romney Marsh, and a London property. The raids were part of a probe into a suspected drug trafficking line running from London into east Kent.
Drugs, Cash and Phones Seized
Seven people were arrested during the operation. Officers seized multiple mobile phones linked to heroin and crack cocaine distribution, along with significant amounts of Class A drugs and cash.
Four Men Charged and Remanded
The following men face two counts each of involvement in Class A drug supply:
- Daniel Lewington, 29, Dorothy Evans Close, Bexleyheath (also charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply)
- William Bridge, 23, Charlton Park Lane, Charlton, London
- Anardo Iremiren, 24, Dorothy Evans Close, Bexleyheath
- Kaseem Ibrahim, 31, no fixed address
They appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 10 October and were remanded in custody. Their next hearing is scheduled for 9 November at Woolwich Crown Court.
Women Released Pending Further Enquiries
Three women aged in their 20s and 30s, also arrested during the raids, have been released while investigations continue.
