“Latham is a predatory sex offender who preyed on a young teenage girl and has now faced justice,” said Detective Constable Lisa Hampson.
“The victim showed extraordinary bravery and tenacity through a very difficult period. We have worked tirelessly to secure this conviction and support all victims of sexual offences. We hope this case encourages others to come forward, no matter how long ago the abuse happened.”
Latham, unemployed and from Wicklands Avenue, Saltdean, will be sentenced on January 6, 2023.
