A 13-year-old boy has been charged with a shocking series of knife and sexual offences, including attempted rape, after a terrifying three-week crime spree in Leicester’s Newfoundpool area.

Details of the Horrific Attacks

Leicestershire Police swooped in the early hours of Friday to arrest the teenager. He faces multiple serious charges:

  • Attempted rape
  • Sexual assault of a woman
  • Possession of a knife or sharp blade in public

The first alleged attack happened on July 10, when the boy tried to force oral rape on a woman while armed on Ruby Street. Nearly three weeks later, on July 29, he allegedly caused affray with intent to commit a sexual offence on Stephenson Drive.

Just two days after that, another woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint on Rowan Street. The boy was also caught with a knife on Fosse Road North shortly before his arrest.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Inspector George Fraser said: “Our investigation into these incidents is continuing, and we would still ask anyone who can help, but who has not yet contacted police, to come forward. Any information you’re able to provide could assist us.”
