Second Man Charged Over Lambeth Murder of 20-Year-Old Salem Koudou

Yassein Bullock Charged with Murder

Detectives have charged a second man in the brutal killing of 20-year-old Salem Koudou in Lambeth. Eighteen-year-old Yassein Bullock, from Fiveways Road, SW9, was charged on Friday, 28 August, with Salem’s murder.

Bullock was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 29 August.

First Suspect Already in Custody

The first man charged in connection with the murder is 27-year-old Darius Kwakye of Prentis Road, SW16. He was charged with murder on Thursday, 27 August.

Kwakye appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court the same day and was remanded in custody to face the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 1 September.

London Murder Shock on Overton Road

The chilling attack happened on Thursday, 20 August. Police were called just before 6pm to Overton Road, SW9, following reports of a stabbing.

Salem was found with fatal stab wounds on nearby Wynne Road. Despite efforts by paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance crew, he died at the hospital at 8.53pm.

Other Arrests and Ongoing Investigation

  • A 26-year-old man, who suffered stab injuries on Overton Road and sought hospital treatment, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder but later released with no further action.
  • A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm (GBH). He is now on bail and must return to a south London police station in September.
  • An 18-year-old man was arrested in Essex on Monday, 24 August, on suspicion of murder. He too has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
