Senior Officer Caught Drink-Driving on Christmas Eve
A senior police officer in Northern Ireland has been suspended following a drink-driving bust on Christmas Eve.
Long-Serving Officer Faces Harsh Consequences
The force confirmed the officer had served 34 years with distinction but was suspended due to the incident. A spokesperson said, “We treated this defendant the same as anyone else.”
Fines, Driving Ban, and Retest Ordered
- £250 fine and 18-month driving ban for drink-driving
- £50 fine and six-month ban for failing to stop and report
- £100 fine and six-month ban for driving without due care
Overall, the officer is banned from driving for 18 months and must retake her driving test.
A PSNI spokeswoman added, “The officer remains suspended. We have nothing else to say at this time.”
