Stockton Drug Dealers Get 27 Years in One of Cleveland’s Biggest County Lines Busts
Seven men have been locked up for a combined 27 years after a major police operation cracked down on drug supply networks in Stockton. This crackdown marks one of the largest County Lines actions Cleveland has seen in recent years.
Major Operation Targets County Lines Drug Dealers
The force’s Complex Exploitation Team, backed by funding from the National County Lines Coordination Centre (NCLCC), led the extensive investigation. In total, 19 defendants have been successfully prosecuted through this crackdown.
What is County Lines?
County Lines involves organised gangs exploiting vulnerable people, including children, to push drugs into new areas. These criminals use coercion to expand their drug empire across towns and cities.
Police Send Clear Message: No Tolerance for Exploiters
“We hope this sends out a clear message that we will take robust action against those seeking to exploit others into a criminal lifestyle,” said a police spokesperson.
“These individuals are the latest to be jailed through the operation and this would not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of the various teams involved.
“Thanks go to all local and regional partners, whose collaboration is vital to tackling illegal drugs and protecting vulnerable people from exploitation. Special recognition to PC Tracy Finnigan, who was fantastic throughout the investigation.”
