Deadly Weapons and Big Drug Hauls Seized in Past Operations

Previous raids uncovered a Skorpion machine gun capable of firing 800 rounds per minute, along with £100,000 in cash and large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, and cannabis. The discovery of the Skorpion led to a hefty five-and-a-half-year jail sentence for the culprit.

Sharp Drop in Firearm Incidents Highlights Police Success

Merseyside has seen a 64% plunge in firearms discharges since April, with no incidents recorded in January, June, or September. Overall, discharges have more than halved since 2012, proving that sustained police efforts are paying off.

Community Support Critical in Battle Against Crime

Det Ch Insp Ball called on locals to help dismantle organised crime networks. “Your information can make all the difference,” he urged.
