Brutal Daylight Shooting Rocks Tamarisk Way

On 21 November 2023, Fleming fired a 9mm bullet at a man in his twenties in broad daylight on Tamarisk Way, Slough. The victim needed surgery to remove the bullet but has since thankfully recovered. Fleming had already pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and drug offences.

Co-Conspirator Michael Christian Also Sentenced

The investigation didn’t stop with Fleming. Michael Christian, 28, of Taplow, was arrested on 7 December for his role in supplying cannabis. He faced court alongside Fleming and received a sentence of three years and four months.

Police Crack Down on Dangerous Drug-Fuelled Shooting

Detective Inspector Stuart May said: “This shooting was a direct result of their illegal drug activities. Fleming’s reckless use of a loaded firearm in broad daylight showed complete disregard for public safety.”

He added, “While firearm incidents are rare, their impact on the community is huge. With Fleming behind bars, a dangerous threat is off the streets. Christian’s sentence holds him accountable for his criminal actions.”

The sentencing sends a clear message: the authorities are cracking down hard on gun crime and drug-related violence. The community can breathe easier knowing these criminals are locked up.
