Man Stabbed on Hackney’s City Road in Early Hours
A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital after a stabbing on City Road, Hackney, just before 2am on Monday, August 26. Police rushed to the scene following reports of the attack.
Victim’s Injuries Not Life-Threatening
Responding officers found the victim and paramedics treated him on site. Doctors later confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening. He remains in hospital recovering.
Youth Arrested and Firearm Recovered
The Metropolitan Police confirmed a man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the stabbing. He is in custody and being questioned. During the investigation, officers also recovered a firearm.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers were on patrol on City Road, Hackney, at about 1:50am when alerted to a stabbing. They found a man in his 40s with stab wounds and provided first aid. The victim was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
The police investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with inquiries.
