Brutal Harlow Murder: Drug Dealer and Accomplice Jailed

Cristian was found fatally stabbed inside a Harlow home on November 8 last year. Police arrived at the property in The Hides after reports of a disturbance around 5.40pm and had to force their way in. They discovered the 24-year-old collapsed on the floor, surrounded by blood, with a trail leading outside to the rear gate.

Sadly, Cristian was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple stab wounds to his chin, back, and neck.

Dark Tracksuit Suspect Spotted Fleeing

A witness told officers they saw a man in a dark tracksuit vaulting the fence near the attack time. Police linked the victim to notorious drug dealer Jayden Drake, 25, who ran the ‘Bobby Davro’ drug line in Harlow and was known to carry knives. Drake was also reportedly using the The Hides address for drug activities.

Fingerprints and Blood Evidence Seal the Case

  • Drake’s and 19-year-old Igors Andersons’ prints were found on items in a bedroom.
  • Both men were at the scene when Cristian was murdered.
  • A manhunt led police to Bournemouth, where the pair were arrested on November 11.
  • Cristian’s blood was found on their clothes and shoes, some discarded at the arrest location.
  • Both charged with murder.

Trial Shocker and Guilty Verdict

Drake told court Andersons stabbed Cristian while he looked away. Andersons claimed he blacked out during the attack but assumed he was responsible, insisting it was self-defence.

Both Drake of Bournemouth and Andersons of Harlow were found guilty of murder at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, May 31. Another man, Fraser Chung, 18, was acquitted.

Sentencing is set for July 22.

“Cristian was killed in a brutal and senseless attack,” said Detective Chief Inspector Ant Alcock. “They used extreme violence and then fled over 120 miles to escape justice.”

“Their convictions mean Essex is safer and send a strong message that drug-related violence will not be tolerated.”

Though nothing can bring Cristian back, police hope the verdict offers some closure to his family and community.
