Man Charged Over Shocking East Ham Double Stabbing
A 36-year-old man faces serious charges after a terrifying double stabbing rocked East Ham last week.
Knife Attack Sparks Massive Police Operation
Ismail Uradde, from Holland Road, East Ham, was charged on July 27 with grievous bodily harm with intent and carrying a knife in public.
The incident unfolded early on July 26 at St Johns Road. Police rushed to the scene of a violent attack at 3.35am, discovering two men in their 40s with stab wounds. Both victims were hospitalised but escaped life-threatening injuries.
Nearby, the A124 Barking Road and surrounding streets were shut down as officers scoured for evidence. Residents woke up to blood-stained pavements and a cordoned-off area, sparking alarm in the local community.
Community Left Reeling as Police Step In
“There was blood on the pavements, and the whole area was cordoned off. It’s terrifying to think something like this could happen on our doorstep,” a local who wished to remain anonymous said.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed: “We are committed to tackling knife crime and bringing those responsible to justice. The swift arrest and charging of the suspect in this case demonstrates our dedication to keeping the streets of East Ham safe.”

Uradde was arrested the same day of the attack and remanded in custody. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on July 27 and is next set to face trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court on August 23.
He stands charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and knife possession in a public place.
