Kent Police confirmed a body was found during the hunt for missing Whitstable man Edward Parry. Officers were called to the Seasalter area on the evening of Wednesday, 23 April 2025. Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

While formal identification is yet to be completed, officials have informed the family of 54-year-old Edward Parry, who had been missing and the focus of an ongoing search.

“Officers attended Seasalter on the evening of Wednesday 23 April 2025, where a man was sadly pronounced deceased. Formal identification has not yet taken place, however, the family of a missing man from the Whitstable area have been informed.” – Police Spokesperson

The death is not currently being treated as suspicious. Police are preparing a report for the coroner as investigations continue.
