Man Stabbed to Death in Cardiff Tent
Jordan Cody-Foster, 31, was fatally stabbed in a tent on Hansen Street, Butetown, Cardiff, at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Despite frantic efforts by emergency services and staff at the Huggard Centre, Jordan died from his injuries.
Killer Fled, Went Shopping Before Arrest
Steven White, 44, fled the scene on a bicycle. Shockingly, he later went shopping at Cardiff Bay Retail Park, buying a stereo from Argos and a book from Asda. He told police he bought the items to prepare for jail.
White was caught two hours after the attack on Habershon Street in Splott.
He pleaded guilty mid-trial on June 8, 2022, at Cardiff Crown Court and was sentenced there today.
Family Speak Out: “Justice Has Been Served”
“Jordan was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, father, and friend, and we are still in mourning,” said Jordan’s aunt, Delphine Darien.
“He was brutally taken from us by Steven White for no apparent reason. This has devastated everyone who knew and loved Jordan.”
“Justice has been served. While it won’t bring Jordan back, we can now mourn in peace. The agony will never end, and we will never stop loving Jordan.”
“Thanks to the detectives, prosecutors, and South Wales Police Family Liaison Officer for their support throughout this painful ordeal.”
“I pray God comforts Jordan’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
