Burglary at George Street business

Police swooped on a suspect after a break-in at a mini golf club on George Street in Nottingham. The raid, which happened in the early hours of Monday, saw thieves make off with cash and bottles of booze.

CCTV clues crack case

The City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team combed through CCTV footage and passed leads to Operation Reacher, who arrested 25-year-old Samuel Slater from Bestwood.

Suspect charged and court-bound

Slater is now charged with burglary and set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (6 December 2022).

Sergeant Louise Ellis, head of the Reacher team, said:“Incidents of this nature can have a very considerable impact on local businesses and are always thoroughly investigated by Nottinghamshire Police. I am pleased we have now been able to charge a suspect in this case.”
